We need your input for 2009 as we outline our goals for the year and re-establish our presence in the community. Mission Statement:

Drivers and cyclists working together to improve road safety through shared awareness, patience, courtesy, and cooperation.

ShareTheRoad Origins:

After the tragic death of fellow cyclist and triathlete, Cory Horton, along with an alarming growth in the number of accidents involving drivers and bicyclists in the Midsouth, several cyclists decided to form a group to educate motorists and cyclists to safely share the road.

Goals:

• Educate motorists and cyclists alike about laws and regulations regarding riding on roads
• Improve the safety and proper use of existing bike lanes and help develop more bike lanes in the Mid-south
• Encourage legislation increasing awareness and safety regarding cycling on streets.
